A Spanish press report revealed a phone call that brought together Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo, the current Juventus star, with Meringue President Florentino Perez.
The newspaper “Marca” said: “Florentino Perez received an unexpected phone call from Cristiano Ronaldo, who requested to attend the Clasico match against the traditional rival Barcelona, after the Italian league matches were postponed due to the Corona virus.”
The newspaper added: “Ronaldo was duly invited to the former stars, and the club has already started work to prepare for his first reception, after his departure after 9 years with a royal shirt.”
She continued, “There were suggestions for Ronaldo to attend the honorary stage, but since he is still a player in a rival team, a separate place has been identified for him, as there are many special places in the Bernabeu for such situations.”
The newspaper pointed out that the Real Madrid administration did everything in its power to reduce the noise surrounding Ronaldo, but that was not possible as it was monitored once he reached Madrid and entered the stadium, and his attendance information was circulated.
Ronaldo attended the match, which his former team won two goals without reply, and regained the lead in the La Liga standings with 56 points, one point behind runner-up Barcelona.
