The Chinese National Health Commission said today, Saturday, that no new local cases of COVID-19 infection have been reported on the Chinese mainland.
The commission added in its daily report that a total of 18 confirmed cases imported from outside the Chinese mainland were reported on Friday, as these cases were recorded in Guangdong, Shanghai, Tianjin, Liaoning, Fujian and Shaanxi.
The commission said that no new suspected cases or deaths related to Corona were reported on the Chinese mainland.
On Friday, a total of 24 patients with COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals after recovering in China.
By the end of Friday, a total of 3,680 imported cases were reported on the mainland, of which 3,325 were discharged from hospital after recovery and 355 were still in hospital. No deaths were reported from the imported cases.
From the outbreak of the pandemic until Friday, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the Chinese mainland has reached 86,325. Of them, 388 patients are still receiving treatment, including three seriously ill patients.
