Sources at the Spanish Health Ministry said today, Monday, that Spain is unlikely to make vaccination against the Coronavirus mandatory, at least initially.
Under Spanish law, vaccination will be optional, although the government can make it compulsory.
“The plan is not at the present time to make it mandatory,” one of the sources said.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that Spain will start a vaccination program against the Corona virus in January, covering a large part of the population within six months.
